The manufacturers of Farabella gluten free pastas are only too aware of the difficulties of finding a wide variety of gluten free pasta shapes offering a taste, texture and visual appearance reminiscent to their counterpart conventional pasta. With this in mind, Farabella has developed the first Fresh Stabilised Pastas available in retail packs. As the name suggests, it is a fresh pasta, which has been stabilised, not dried. As an ambient product it can be stored in a cool, dry, place; unopened, it has a shelf life in excess of 9 months from production. In appearance Farabella’s Fresh Stabilised Orechiette Rustiche have captured not just the appearance of conventional artisan orechiette, but also the texture and taste. This pasta can be cooked in just 4 or 5 minutes (perhaps a little longer according to taste); and as they are a ‘fresh’ product they do not require ‘resting’ time or rinsing after cooking. As a store cupboard item, or for use in any commercial kitchen, Fresh Stabilised Pasta may be considered as next best to fresh!
