SPINACH LASAGNE - gluten free/wheat free pasta from FARABELLA

Lasagne is found all over Italy, served in many different ways - from the classic Lasagne Bolognese where the Lasagne is layered with a rich meaty sauce, to "Pasticcio" made with Lasagne layered with fresh peas and ham (a simply stunning dish when the peas are in season). Try Spinach Lasagne with tomato and vegetable sauces, with a rich mixed mushroom sauce, with fish, pork, or layered with a medly of oven roasted vegetables.

Serve Farabella's gluten free Spinach Lasagne as a starter, or a more substantial portion with a dressed side salad as a main course.

Each pack contains sufficient Gluten Free Spinach Lasagne sheets for four people (as a main course). Simply prepare the Farabella Lasagne sheets before layering in your dish and baking. This will involve cooking in boiling water for approx 5 minutes - see instructions below. Spoon some of your chosen sauce into the bottom of an oven proof dish, place a layer of prepared Lasagne in the dish, and then cover with sauce, then a layer of Bechamel (with Parmesan cheese mixed in). Repeat the layers (lasagne, sauce, Bechamel) another two or three times ending with a Bechamel layer. Generously cover the top layer with grated Parmesan cheese (or any other grated hard cheese), before putting into an oven to bake. Lasagne could not be easier to make!

To prepare Spinach Lasagne for use: Boil a large saucepan of water (allow approx 2 litres for every 100gms of Lasagne). Once the water is boiling add approx 10 gms salt (or to taste) per litre of water and then add the pasta to the saucepan. Use a wooden spoon to GENTLY stir the pasta. Cook for approx 5 mins and remove the pan from heat. DO NOT DRAIN the Lasagne, instead, add plenty of cold water to the pan to prevent the Lasagne from cooking further. Carefully remove each Lasagne sheet singly, and use with the sauces of your choice. Place in a pre-heated oven (180 deg C / Gas Mark 5) for about 25 to 30 mins.
